Food supplement Himalayan Shilajit, also known as mumio, is extracted naturally from organic matter found in the Karakorum and Zanskar mountain ranges. It is a natural resin (500 mg) used in Ayurveda for centuries, containing a high content of fulvic acids (40–60%) and humic acids (6–18%).
Mumio, known and used in folk tradition for hundreds of years, has a wide range of applications due to its rich content of natural active compounds. It contains, among others, fulvic acid and humic acid, as well as being rich in iron and amino acids, and a source of sterols and triterpenes.
